Seasonal color analysis is a method that matches the colors you wear to your natural coloring — the undertone of your skin, and the depth and contrast of your hair and eyes. It groups people into four families (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter), each split into three sub-seasons, for twelve seasons in total. Wearing your season's palette makes skin look clearer and features more defined; wearing against it can make you look tired or washed out.

The twelve seasons are Light Spring, Warm Spring, Clear Spring, Light Summer, Cool Summer, Soft Summer, Soft Autumn, Warm Autumn, Deep Autumn, Deep Winter, Cool Winter, and Clear Winter. Springs and Autumns have warm undertones, Summers and Winters cool ones; within each family the sub-seasons differ by how light, deep, muted, or bright your natural coloring is.

Light Spring

Light Spring suits low-contrast coloring with warm undertones — think golden blonde hair, light eyes, and peachy skin. Its palette is sunlit and delicate: peach, soft coral, and warm cream.

Warm Spring

Warm Spring is golden through and through — warm skin, golden or strawberry hair, and eyes with amber warmth. Its palette runs vivid and sun-drenched: coral, marigold, and leaf green.

Clear Spring

Clear Spring pairs warm undertones with high contrast and bright, sparkling eyes. Its palette is saturated and lively: tangerine, poppy red, and clear turquoise.

Light Summer

Light Summer suits low-contrast coloring with cool undertones — ash blonde hair, soft blue or gray eyes, rosy skin. Its palette is airy and powdery: sky blue, lilac, and shell pink.

Cool Summer

Cool Summer is the coolest of the twelve seasons — pink-toned skin with ashy hair and clear, cool eyes. Its palette is refined and blue-based: raspberry, slate blue, and amethyst.

Soft Summer

Soft Summer blends cool undertones with gently muted, blended coloring. Its palette is misty and understated: sage, dusty rose, and soft teal.

Soft Autumn

Soft Autumn pairs warm undertones with muted, low-contrast coloring. Its palette is quiet and earthy: camel, terracotta blush, and moss.

Warm Autumn

Warm Autumn is rich and golden — warm skin, auburn or chestnut hair, and amber or hazel eyes. Its palette is spiced and earthy: rust, ochre, and olive.

Deep Autumn

Deep Autumn combines warm undertones with deep, high-impact coloring — dark hair and rich brown eyes. Its palette is saturated and grounded: burgundy, forest green, and bronze.

Deep Winter

Deep Winter pairs cool undertones with deep, dramatic coloring — near-black hair and dark eyes. Its palette is intense and jewel-toned: emerald, sapphire, and true black.

Cool Winter

Cool Winter is icy and bold — cool skin with high contrast between hair, eyes, and complexion. Its palette is blue-based and vivid: cobalt, magenta, and icy gray.

Clear Winter

Clear Winter suits the highest-contrast coloring of all — cool undertones with bright, clear eyes against deep hair. Its palette is electric: cobalt blue, shocking pink, and true red.
